and i weighted myself when i just woke up.

I think you weigh less in the morning because you haven't had anything to eat or drink yet. Did you way yourself the morning before? If you did then nevermind me.

Pool is exercise

I would break a light sweat while working on my break for 20 minutes or so with the BreakRak. Lots of repitions, almost like a aerobic workout. More than likely it is low impact, but still exercise. Plus all the bending and walking is tough on your back and leg muscles. Pool has to be good for your exercise regime.:D

I usually stretch before playing, but I have historically had very tight hamstrings. Unless they are stretched or used alot, they tend to tighten up and cause more stress to my back. Anyone else stretch before playing? Do you think it helps? I seem to notice an improvement, but maybe it is the fact that I get to focus for five minutes on how I want to play and it is more mental than physical.

My body usually sleeps 2 pounds off overnight. Some people differ but that is a good ballpark number. Then of course you eat breakfast or drink something and you gain most back. Many moons ago, I used to control my weight for wrestling and know most all the tricks, good and bad. I only have about 3 or 4 pounds left before I need to get back into shape. I just can't handle being over 200.

I have mayo and ketchup! :D

If you play in a pool hall, I think much of any weight lost while playing pool might be offset by the weight gained in drinking beer or soda and eating food.

Well, I played pool for 6 hours yesterday, and lost 3 ounces! Oh...wait...that was my beer that my opponent spilled, when he knocked over the bottle! :D

I know my body temp goes way up and I start pouring sweat. Then again, I'm morbidly obese so it doesn't take much to make me sweat...lol.
I am slender and run (slowly) several miles a day. Playing rack your own ghost is harder by the hour, imho, if you don't slow down. But then I might be playing faster than I run, LOL!
