Playing cue to break cue?

do you guys recommend making a playing cue to break cue? I have an old joss cue that I don’t use any more. Thought about changing the tip or buying a new shaft. What’s your thought?

Darkside7, Howdy;

I had a shaft made for an older Duffern that I use as a Break cue. The guy that
made the shaft had a piece of an old dance floor that had been in the local
Community Center for about 40 years when they re-floored it. Very nice piece
of Oak. Put a brown micarta furruel and a Talisman break tip on it. that was 6
years ago and it works fine, still.

or you can buy a spare break shaft online for ~$40. comes with phenolic or hard tip and a "break taper", which might feel stiffer than the original shaft.

As for recommending a player as a breaker, I would. Feels way better than "Break Cues".
