Playing in pain

Sean I grew up around a couple of 6x12s and I don't remember there being a certain name for these beasts but the guys who taught me to play had a rule that you always get two trys at every shot, the first one was called a drive and the second a putt:p
 
im almost awalys in pain, and it sure dosent help my game. it ruins alot more than pool when you really think about it.
