Playing pool in Texas !!!

Hi all,

I may go to the US next year, will stay in Bryan, TX.

Can someone tell me about the pool's scene in TX: Houston, Dallas, Austin... ?

Are there many pool hall with weekly (daily ) tournament ?
Are there some big tournament from time to time ?

Some more infos and advices ?

You are not going to have any trouble finding poolhalls/tournaments in any of the last three cities you mention.

But....... Bryan/College Station, Texas is FULL of people that wouldn't know how to change a light bulb :grin-square::grin-square::grin-square:!!!

You got action here, just stop in Bogies, if no ones home, five minutes away is Big times, there are more Pool Halls here than any place in the country and I have been everywhere.

There are 15 Pool Halls with in 25mins of Bogies all have some kinda of action, cheap games most of the time, but there is action.

If you want to play tournaments, there one every night, you cant get lost here.
