Please could all you pool experts help me on finding a cue ?

Hey everyone

Been reading around for a whilst, this is my first post.

I just have an 8 foot American 9-ball table at home. I don’t play seriously or at any club etc seeing 9-ball is so small over here :(

I would like to get a new cue, all I play with is this lame one I bought off eBay which cost me around 15 pounds = 22 dollars or 22 euros. But it just feels weird and it sucks. I really don’t know where to look to find a cue :S

I was wandering if someone had any sites or anyone made a cue that just hit nice. If you know what I mean. I am looking for something in between 0-100 pounds = 0-150 dollars

This will be my first proper cue :D

I cant find any online uk shops which sell uk cues! Been on google all day

I am no pool expert but I do know a good value on a cue when I see one.

I recomend the Lucasi L-2000SP at 19.5 oz for around $119 new.

Later on if you want to upgrade a bit have a predator or OB-1 shaft fitted to it.

It Will Depend On What Kind Of Hit You Are Looking For. The Lucasi That Is Mentioned Above Is A Nice Cue, But I Personally Am Not A Fan Of How Stiff Those Cues Are. In My Pool Room I Sell Alot Of J&j Cues To The Guys. They Are Well Built, Play Well And Are Amazingly Priced. Check Out Jjcue.com If You Want I Can Even Ship To You If You're Interested. There Is Also A Line Called Elite From Cuestix That For The Money Is Awesome. You Can Get A Nice Ebony Cue With A Segmented Maple Handle For About 135.00us, And It Even Comes With A Layered Tip. I Hope This Info Helps.
 
I don't think you are going to get a "proper cue" for only $150.00. I suggest that you wait until you can afford a proper cue. An American made cue by a reputable and experienced cuemaker will cost you at least $300.00 and it should hit great and be durable.

You might as well keep what you have because all the cues under $150.00 will be from China and we all know how they fall apart.
