Dear billiard friends,
we are a tiny billiard club based in good old germany.
We love the game as much as you do and have the dream to own a tournament pool table.
Now we have the chance to win a 1.000,- Euro donation by a big financial institute but we need some help to succeed !!!
Billiards is not the publics favourite sport in our country, so our chances to win are limited compared to all the local soccer clubs.

Perhaps you should look at this as a debt owed to Greece from the massive damage and hardship caused to the Greek people by the German army during World War II.

Cmon suck it up, the world bailed Germany out during unification, it's time to think about repayment.

I sincerely doubt anyone in the billiards club had anything to do with this.

This is simply a choice to support a small billiards club for a chance to win a small amount of money.

Good luck guys.

I think the point was they were complaining about the money their country was giving to Greece for a bailout and that maybe they should look at their history and see that perhaps in a way they owe it to the people of Greece.

I'm fine with people raising funds for clubs, but don't tie it to a political situation.

I agree their statement wasn't particularly PC, but I think modern society has trained us to be a bit oversensitive to such things.

I still believe it's good to support the underdog billiards club vs other sports clubs.

I appologize for being political incorrect in my post.
It was supposed to be funny, which obviously awfully went wrong, please forgive me.
