I just got an old Heubler Cue and I am trying to find out any info I can about it! It needs a little work, but not very bad.. Very streight and threads are tight! Shaft is in very good condition..

I'm am trying to decide weather I should:

1. Get it refirbished. (and a good place to do this?)

2. Use it as a Break cue ("as is").

3. Sell it "as is"

ANY help will be appreciated!:D

The sticker on the butt says HEUBLER Made in U.S.A (it IS a sticker)
The screw is steel (not brass)

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!! This IS the best place to go!

I had that cue. I bought it at a pool table store in Van Nuys around 1992. It was a production Huebler, tulipwood points and butt and possibly an East Indian Rosewood forearm. I liked that cue a lot but was jumping around between cues later on. I sold it on e-bay some time ago for around $250. The retail was somewhere around $300 then. I don't recall the model number.

If you get it refinished by Scot Sherbine at Proficient Billiards (www.proficientbilliards.com) the cost will be about $90 plus shipping and the cue will look like new. It's worth it if you plan on keeping it.

I have the same cue, it's a nice one. Looks good, plays good. I keep it in my basement in the cue rack so guests can play with a nice cue (& me too sometimes).

FWIW, it looks okay in the picture. If the cue has bare spots, seal it up with wax or oil. The lettering looks engraved, you can ink with sharpie and clean with rubbing alcohol. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Save your money for lessons.

Thanks for the information! Still thinking wheather to spend the $$ on refirbishing it!

I have 2 Heublers. They play wonderful. Screw it together and play with it. It will tell you all you need to know. They are stiff and shoot lights out. I reccomend you refinish it and keep it. They are great players and are starting to get scarce.
