Please help ID this. I'm trying to help a friend sell this cue. He got in an odd deal. Would like to ID before he sells it. (Old boy doesn't use the internet much.)

Doesn't the LTD on the but mean "limited" though?

I think so.

But being a "Unique", or "Limited" or "1/10" or anything else that has a butt cap stamp means nothing. IMO I would not give it any additional value for it.

JMO.

I am not a huge fan of the recent Schon cues. The SL-9 is the best of that series though IMO.

The old sharp pointed Runde era Schon cues ARE pretty neat and I am fan of those...but sadly everyone else seems to be a fan of those too as they command a premium price

I agree about the sharp points vs. the round. I just don't want to dump the cue off for cheap then find out it was worth more. I was told by two different people that the LTD part meant it was a "limited" which means 1 of 12, made once. according to Schon. I emailed them asking for input to see what they think.

The whole deal is a little bit odd. I see the SL-9 is alot like this, but not quite. Some definite differences, like the lower rings, and the LTD marking, and the use of purple heart seem fairly unique to this cue. I'm not sure, but here's to hoping I guess...

Each distributor gets there own designed Ltd. cues, Cue Stix, Omega Billiards, Cue and Case, and etc. Some are similar but different slightly. Saw one from Cue Stix out of Denver area in early 2000's. Sold retail in the $1100 range, not a big collectable like the earlier Schon's. Glws.

I still have NO I.D. on this cue. I know it's an LTD cue so there's that, and it looks like some other cues that are out there, but nothing fits quite right. I've tried reaching out to Schone a handful of times.

~I really just want to help a friend recoup his money.
