Please help identify the joint

It is piloted, and I think it is a 5/16x14 pin/ thread (but could also be 5/16x18). Count the threads within one inch (or half an inch and muliply with 2). By doing so the number will tell you either 14 or 18 threads.

It looks like a 5/16 x 14 piloted joint to me as well. The 5/16 refers to the pin diameter in inches. The 14 is how many threads there are per inch. As someone else mentioned, you can measure these things yourself with a ruler to verify. Piloted means that part of the shaft is counter sunk into the butt when the two are screwed together. A flat faced joint is one where the facing of the two surfaces of the joint that meet together are both flat surfaces, but yours is piloted.

5/16X18 pin more than likely attached to an imported cue. Please post a picture of the whole cue as it will help in determine if the joint as well.
 
Looks like a SS sleeve rather then a full SS joint, that wood in the joint looks to be the ebony from the forearm.
