Please Help Identify This Shaft

Hey guys, thanks in advance on this one.

My father is a pawn shop connoisseur, and recently picked up a nice older Joss cue for a steal. The thing that struck him was the non-original shaft that came with the cue. Any ideas on who made this:

I was also told it could be a Predator shaft. Any truth to this?

Nope not a 314 that is a custom made shaft .. purpleheart and maple . That shaft whould be kind of heavy.. there was a guy here that makes shafts like that .. Question does it play really stiff ?

Yeah, I knew it wouldn't be a 314; someone told me they made some laminated shafts like this before the 314.

Very stiff play. Also appears to have a conical taper.
