Please help me choose a cover for my new pool movie.

Which cover do you prefer?

I'm trying to design a cover for my new pool movie, and I've narrowed it down to 3 options. Please vote in the poll and take a second to tell me WHY you picked a certain cover over the other options.

Some things to consider before voting:

LEFT: This cover is a little flat looking, but it shows movement on the cue ball which helps put an emphasis on what the movie is about: pool. Also, sex sells, so having the model on the cover is a bonus.

MIDDLE: Same picture as the LEFT one, but without any movement on the cue ball. This is an option for those that think the moving cue ball looks cheap.

RIGHT: This cover picture has a lot of depth, but the player is slightly out of focus. Also, the title of the movie had to be smaller to make it fit, which is another draw back.

Anyway, those are the three options. All have their flaws, but hopefully you guys and girls will give good feedback and help me choose which is best.

I like the far right cover, because it's a teaser. Leaves a little mystery by only giving you a glimpse of the sexy girl, and you are left wondering what you could be doing with all those glasses on a pool table. JMO.
 
I chose the one on the right cuz it looks way more professional. Very nice!
 
Of the 3, the one on the right looks MUCH better IMHO.

The other two look kinda cheesy to me, with or without the moving ball.
 
It's crazy how varied the feedback is. I have a similar poll going on facebook, and #3 is a clear cut winner there. However anyone I ask in person says #1....and this thread is leaning in a similar direction.

Gotta go with # 2,,,,,

With a quick glance,,,,,it tells the whole story,,,,,,,

Yeah,,,,# 3 looks like a horror movie promo,,,,,

Can't wait for it to come out,,,Mika's was great !!!
 
I like the third but do agree with Marissa. He seems to be thinking the same thing i am!LOL
 
I say the very right one :grin:

because the first two make it look like he was cut out of a magazine and is now a poster, Because the way the light is hitting him it gives him a cut out feeling look. That first one because the way the ball is it makes it look too cartoony for me, as well as his body position doesn't even look like he hit the ball, the cue is in the air and so on...


So yea once again, i choose the right one!

Actually I hate to be the voice of negativity but personally all three don't really work.

First one I didn't notice the moving ball till someone said something and I went back and looked..

Second one the red ball is half hidden by the girl..if it was more out toward the pocket it might be doable...

The third really doesn't get across any point and yeah the girl lying there is sorta creepy...


Secret to a great photo is it has to sell the product with absolutely no text whatsoever....


So if I had to pick I would use the first....make the ball trail start closer to the end of the cue and move the red ball close to the pocket and away from the girls side....

What I was thinking too.

Besides that the cover is way too cluttered, too much going on.

I like the middle one actually, the moving cue ball is a little gimmicky in my opinion.
 
First one

Once you take a second look, you see the cue ball masseing around the girl. That is the one to use most definitely.
 
Is it a movie or a trick shot dvd? Anyways, the first one is the best because the trick shot is the action and point of the dvd and the girl is just eye candy for attraction while sitting on the shelf of the video store shelf. Good luck with your DVD.

This poll has made me more confused than ever. I mean, #3 is leading right now, but not by much. Since #1 and #2 are virtually the same and their combined votes out number the votes for #3... almost as if it's a three way tie right now.

Or am I retarded by thinking that?

left, the chick is hot, the ball is moving so it illustraits the type of video it is, the other 2 dont do that.
