Could someone please tell me about these corner castings beside the one having the ash try opening.

looks like you have two castings, I assume from the same table, that are from a GC II. It must be a later model GC II because Brunswick started using that casting style(the one with the ashtray cutout) that is used for the Gold Crown III. I recently picked up a Gold Crown II with the same casting style. I recently moved 10 Gold Crown II's with the older style casting like the GC I.

Thanks, the upper casting is from a GC2 and the lower casting is some I purchased to use on the table, just wondering if they would be correct to use, I noticed the screw holes in the lower corner was not sure what they were for.

I'd say a GC II on the bottom, and a GC I on the top, because of the way it is cast and the style of bolt holes. Either or both should work, but I like the top ones better because the bottom style tends to bend in the bolt hole area, making the corners not sit flush with rails.

The top casting is the pocket castings that first came out on the GC1's, though it's the second version, the first version of that casting didn't have the threaded screw holes to mount the pocket, they were used on the later model Anniversary tables back when the pockets were still being nailed in. The lower casting came out on the GC2's, up until the late GC2, early GC3's, the changed again during the production of the later GC3's to not have the ashtray option any longer. They're both interchangeable on any of the GC 1, 2, or 3's.

The screw holes are used in production of the casting, but not for anything after they're made.
