Pocket Facings & Rails Jumping OB

The pool room i play out of has good equipment normally but as of late somethings changed and i can't figure it out.

As of late alot of the tables have began to have a hop in the rails. The tables haven't been redone or anything so i don't attribute this to the felt being to tight and lowering the nose of the cushion. Could it be Humidity? They have been leaving the doors open and it is getting Humid in there.

Secondly, i've noticed the facings of the pockets jumping balls off the table when hit hard. I like to rip balls into the pockets when i'm warming up but i've noticed when i hit a ball into the face of the pocket it literally jumps off the table. My understanding was always that if you hit the facing then the ball should drop.

I thought i might be slopping the ball and not realizing it but... i started to just shot the CB at the facing and it would rattle or jump off depending on the speed i hit it.

If any Table Mechanics out there have an idea of whats going on please let me know. The owner of the room is very open to improvement.

Need more information, like what kind of tables, where is it located, does the room owner clean the tables....stuff like that:D
 
they are AMF tables. As of late seems like most of the tables are doing it. The tables used to get vacuumed daily but i dont see that happening as often anymore.

The room has been quite Humid as of late bc they leave the doors open. idk what kinda rails they are but it never happened before & all of a sudden...

Ask them if they quit cleaning the balls, or started cleaning the cloth with some kind of a cleaner. If they clean the balls, ask them if they've switched to a different kind of a wax/cleaner. Humidity can play a big roll in how a pool table(s) play, and that may be the problem, but I'd just ask to be sure.

Have they started using different balls? I know when my pool hall first got the 9fters in, they were using cheap crappy balls that were too big and the balls would hop off the rails and a perfectly good pocketed ball would hop off the table, or even hop back onto the table.

The above is quite unlikely though, so I'd put it down to an increase in humidity. As far as rails go, my table at home had the rails come loose in certain spots and this caused them to make balls hop, or just kill the CBs speed.
 
When was the last time the cloth was changed? Reason I ask is that when cloth is fairly new, the balls wlll slide quite a bit and friction really don't have much effect to cause the tables to play bad. But, once the cloth has gone through it's break in period, if cushions were changed at that time...they'll start showing the flaws in the work that was done, because time will expose any flaws in the work by the way the tables end up playing. But, that's not going to take very long to start showing up.

What area are we talking about?
 
The balls are cleaned every night in a ball cleaner. I will ask if they have changed the cleaning solution. It's in Atlantic city,nj.
