pocket iron bolts

I've noticed that each of the corner pocket irons on my table have only one of the two bolts installed. Is this common, or did the installer have a lapse? They are #6's. Far as I can tell they seem to be very solid and it play fine. If they are supposed to be there, someone please tell me what kind of bolts to put in. I would have the installer come back except they are pretty far away, and I don't mind doing it if it doesn't require anything more than moving the blinds and putting the bolts in.

Would appreciate any info. thanks.

Make them come back... That's a BS way of slapping tables together. Its saves them 10 minutes if that. I can't stand when people leave them out, they are there for a reason. What kind of table do you have?

Poolschool I want to thank you for your reply. The table is an American Heirloom capri with #6 irons.

Truth is I haven't called them yet. Its a little over a 3 hour drive for them. I am a little bent about it, however, I think I would just as well put them in myself and be done with it. I probably tell A.H. about it. Maybe I'll Send them a copy of your reply if you don't mind. Thanks again.

I would have to agree with Pool school, it only takes a few minutes longer to install all the pocket iron bolts, after all there's only 12 of them in all, but some technicians do home tables the same way they do pool hall tables..."easier to take apart next time" At Tc's Billiards in Sacramento 15 of his tables don't have any bolts at all in the corner pockets...LAZY AMATEURS!

I would still recommend them coming out to do the work on your table. I know it sounds simple and it is but things happen... Like cracking a sub rail, rail cap or a countersunk washer wall. Its also very hard to line up the irons after the rails have been tightened, not to mention you will have to remove the rail bolts, rails, aprons and pocket straps from the table. All which carry their own possibilities for disaster.

Once again...I agree, they've been paid to do a job...make them finish it. Did you pay by credit card?...if so, hold up the payment until the job is done to your satisfaction.
