Pocket Specifications for GC Tournament table

Horizontal Pocket Cut Angle: The angle must be the same on both sides of a pocket entrance. The cut angles of the rubber cushion and its wood backing (rail liner) for both sides of the corner pocket entrance must be 142 degrees (+1). The cut angles of the rubber cushion and its wood backing (rail liner) for both sides of the side pocket entrance must be 104 degrees (+1).
That is interesting.

Crash - I have seen those specs and appreciate the link again. Are those specs actually adhered to? I'm thinking a Diamond and GC would be nearly the same table if they both used those exact specifications?

Chris

The link crash posted are the specs used by virtually all pro organizations. The "main difference" is likely the shelf since the companies have different cut dimensions for the corners of their slate. As you tighten a pocket the shelf lessens.
In other words depending on what you are starting with on shelf by tightening the pocket you could make the pocket much easier to make balls if the shelf become too shallow, or it could become a pain in the a$$ if balls get hidden because the pocket is tight and the shelf is still too deep.

:confused:I think I got that right:confused:
