Finally got a chance to listen to the whole podcast with Chad and Scotty Townsend. You can see it on www.theactionreport.com. I had to right click on the the podcast and save it as a target and place it on my desktop. Then I was able to hear it in its entirety. Had a little trouble simply clicking on it and opening it up on their web site. Probably has a little to do with my security settings.
The music was most appropriate for the interview with Scotty Townsend.
Chad mentioned that there might be additional interview with Scotty. Like JAM, I would like to hear some of his stories again and would love to share them with the rest of the billiard world.
The purpose of this thread is to highlight some of the great stories Scotty has told over the years.
I would love to hear the one about him jumping off the Huey P. Long bridge in New Orleans, LA. Also, I got in late on one story about him lifting up a car to help a buddy change or flat.
Alligators and snakes were easy stories about experiences Scotty has had and how they are often intertwined into pool.
Maybe some of the other posters could suggest particular Scotty Stories.
My favorite of all time is one I witnessed in Mobile, AL around 2003. Scotty was dressed in cowboy hat, cowboy boots, signature claw necklace and short pants.
A city boy was drunk and calling Scotty out. Both had been drinking and the city boy didn't know Scotty and the original woofing was about playing some pool for a hundred a game. The city boy was trying to impress his girlfriend and anyone who would listen. Finally the second woofing turned a little more bitter and the cityboy started talking about whupping Scotty's ass-period. It was funny and real. Scotty showed a lot of class that day. He entertained me and others for over an hour while he allowed the drunken city boy to dig his hole even deeper.
Scotty, you are the man.
