Poison VX jump break vs. Predator BK2

Hello everyone,

I wanna know if anyone here has had a chance to compare the predator bk2 to the poison vx jump break cues?
Planing to get one but dunno which one..also has anyone had either of the cues' ferrules changed to phenolic ferrule (like the sledgehammer) ?
 
I would say almost 70%+ would say the BK2 is better. I have never hit with either, but I am sure there would be plenty of replies to this thread about the BK2 by morning. Good luck.

I have the Poison, great cue. Have tried the BK2, it breaks a little bit better, but I would by the Poison because of its price compared to the BK2.
 
Ive tried both and the poision is ok but the predator is a much better stick in my opinion from using both but with the poision you get a jump cue which is a plus and it jumps very well.

The poison vx jump break cues.
It was a hot saler At VF, i had 2 of them and can't keep them ..
plus you have a jump with that vx cue ..
 
I use the BK2 as my break cue but just this past weekend got to play with the Poison Break/Jump cue and while I thought the hit with the poison was solid and having a Jump cue that does a very good job of mimicking the Predator Air Jump attached is convenient ... I still wouldn't part with my BK2 and Air Jump.

Ditto for me. I sold my Rick Howard because it started to collect dust after I got my BK2. There's just nothing better. My Air Jump is my fav jump cue, as well.
 
Locally I've seen and tried 3 VXs (to break and jump with), and other than liking the grip, it didn't do a whole lot for me. I did a pretty extensive test with a guy's (he just got it a month ago) about a week ago. I didn't want to tell him that I thought mine out preformed his, so I just said, "that's really nice". I let him break with my Stinger, and his exact word(s) were, "WOW!". I smiled, and said, "jumps GREAT too". :cool: So the VX was twice the price of mine, and I like mine better.....the BK2 though, is a VERY good break cue.

I have used both to some extent. One plus to the poison is yuo get a jumper. One drawback is i just cant get through my head my dissaproval of the joint. I just dont think it treads in enough to be drilling break shots with.

One thing about the bk2 I dont like is the smaller shaft diameter. I have tried one with a G-10 and it seemed to break well but I just never really have liked G-10. This is just my honest opinon and everbody has their own. Only thing I can help you with is to tell you to go out and try someones then make your own desision.
 
I have shot with both the bk2 and the poison jump break. Bk2 breaks a bit better than the poison but I would'nt say by much. The poison has a nice stiff hit and jumps very easily. Both great cues. If you have the extra dough buy the bk2 and the predator air (I have not shot with the air). If you want to save a hundred or so bucks buy the poison. Both are great buys.
 
I have a x-breaker.... that being said....I tried the Poison a cpl weeks ago and It left my jaw hanging! Compared to my x-breaker there isnt any comparison. The poison exploded the rack like a shotgun. Now, I haven't really tried the BK2...no reason just haven't. Would like to though seeing all the ringing endorsements. High time to seeing it's been out for quite awhile. Love the wrap on the Poison!
