Did you guys see Doyle, Daniel, and Gavin talking about 8/9 ball vs Snooker on Poker After Dark?

Daniel was saying that Snooker is a much better game because of it's strategy, and 9 ball was all about banging balls in :D

I agree that Snooker has more strategy, and may very well be a better game, but lot's of Pool Rooms in the US don't have snooker tables anymore.
Kind of sad to see such a great game die off.
 
Negreanu likely remembers when pretty much ALL pool halls in Canada were in fact snooker halls. In the 70's it was hard to find a 9' table in a commercial establishment.

is Daniel old enough to remember the 70's very well? just wondering...I assumed he was younger than me (I'll be 35 on the 18th - Friday), and I don't recall a whole lot about the 70's - other than my BigWheel, and things like that. :)

I don't think Daniel is over 31-32... I could be wrong

They were also talking about Johnny World playing pool... I didn't know he even played until the World Series a few years ago
 
how ironic, this weeks Poker After Dark also has discussions about Pool

Gavin is talking about his new Jerry McWorter Cue
 
... Snooker is better than 9-ball, hands down... 9-ball is possibly the stupidest game ever, not just in pool.
 
Johnny World can PLAY. I remember him in the late eighties, early nineties. He can hang. I don't just mean your local shortstops, either.

*nice to see gavins into cues.......but the fact is he's no more better that a d+ shooter.but he'll gamble up if you care to try and find out ......just bring some cheese to play with in case he gets lucky lol
