Unfortunately it is 8 ball at the moment. Almost chose "other" as I lately have just been knocking balls around... Hope to get into 10 ball more in the very near future...
There is the Kentucky Derby an there or other horse races. Nine ball an then the other race 10 ball. I suppose I'm just a little old fashioned. Skip
I probably play more one pocket than anything right now. Tournaments are mostly 9-ball though. I try to play 14.1 whenever possible. I hardly play 8-ball.
I answered straight pool, because it's what I play when I have the choice, but I play a lot of 9 ball because that's where I can make money gambling and in tournaments, and I play 8 ball every week in leagues.
I also have a friend teaching (read "beating the hell out of me") me one pocket.
Like my name states,9 ball, but when it's time to practice I practice 14.1 and 1 pocket,(ball control & safe practice).Just wish I could find a snooker table near me.The closest is about 1 hour away....I'm thinkin no!!
Mostly 14.1, sometimes 8-Ball. Like Danny DiLiberto once said, "9-Ball is play by numbers while straight pool forces you to make decisions". I like that challenge.
There was no option for "I like all cue games", so I voted for 'other'. IMO, someone who really loves pool, plays all games. I know I do...including snooker and 3-C.
I think it should. How about if you walk into a billiards hall that has pool tables and carom tables. Would you choose a pool variant (which one?) or choose carom?
@Scott: true, but my aim is to make people make a choice, for statistical purposes. I pretty much love all cue sports too, but 8-ball is my preferred game, closely followed by 10-ball.
So far, 9-ball and 8-ball are way out ahead, and tied!
