Help me again guys.

I started using Clear Gloss Oil Base Polyurethane made by Varathane.
The spray can says "Adds a warm golden Glow" that I didn't see till after I
started spraying a cuecap. I don't know if it's psychological or real in that the Alternative Ivory in the cuecap seems to have a "golden glow".
My 2 questions I need help on:

1. Does all "Clear Gloss" Polyurethane have a "Golden glow" or does
Varathane (or other brands) make a clear gloss that does not "Add a Golden Glow".

2. Can I spray another Brand of oil base clear gloss polyurethane
over the Varethane brand, or the different brands might not be
compatible?

Generally whatever color the finish is in the can that is the color it will be applied. I don't know what else is available but I believe deft had a fairly clear product. Chris.
 
Clear Poly

A lot of the polyurethanes will have an amber hue. There are a number that are formulated to be clear. You can search this forum for Polyurethane (or just Poly) to find some examples. I personally use Enduro Clear Poly. It's a water based Polyurethane that is almost perfectly clear. Gives a nice hard finish and buffs out beautifully.

As far as compatibility, I'd sand it down and start over.
 
Cuemakers used to call that 'Golden Glow' yellow.
If the 'Golden Glow' gets stronger with time they called that yellowing.

They do make crystal clear acrylic that stays clear and wont yellow over time.

Sometimes that yellow look adds to the look of the cue, sometimes it distracts.

Even the Endro Sanding sealer will polish out to a brilliant shine.

However, it takes about a week for Endro Poly to reach its full hardness and retain that brilliant shine.

Good point Willee! I should have mentioned that. I wait a MINIMUM of a week before I wet sand and polish.
 
Polyurethane vs. Acrylic

Super Glue, I remember Rick Delerra using it as a sealer,
