Pool Ball Weights

I think unless you measured the set when new, it’s not possible to conclude the cb is lighter now due to wear. It could have been just part of the standard deviation.
That's true. I was just offering a possible explanation why the lower cue ball weight is not surprising.

But I have seen many, many cue balls that were lighter due to wear. I used to play with a red circle cue ball that was a pink crescent.

For me it definitely wouldn't be noticeable! 🙂

Question for @rexus31 and/or any of the experts here:
I see in the first post of this thread a set of Predator Arcos 1 Prototypes are listed. I've never seen these and assume they are uncommon.
How similar/different are they to the Predator Arcos 2?
And are these related in any way to Champion Arcos Pool balls, which are Phenolic and made in Belgium, but much less expensive?
or,

I purchased a Triangle version of a Champion Arcos Cue Ball - it looks quite similar to the Predator Arcos 2 Cue Ball, and I'm pleased with how it plays.

It seems odd that Predator and Champion both use the name "Arcos" unless there is some connection :unsure:

The Predator Arcos I were made by Cosmos out of South Korea and were based on their Diamond Ultra C TV set, with the difference being the Predator cat logo on one side. To my knowledge, 300 sets were made worldwide and none were offered for sale to the public. They are not affiliated with Champion Arcos Balls.

Here's the Diamond Ultra TV set for reference.

Cosmos also made the Olhausen Signature Set.

Cool, thanks for the information!

It's weird that on Champion's website in their description they actually mention Predator:

The Arcos’s unique 8 Point Performance Pillars are the foundation for tighter racks, more powerful breaks, and greater runout potential. Predator applies the same technological innovation found in its cues to create consistent, high-performance billiard balls that reduce variability and maximize precision.
