I think unless you measured the set when new, it’s not possible to conclude the cb is lighter now due to wear. It could have been just part of the standard deviation.

That's true. I was just offering a possible explanation why the lower cue ball weight is not surprising.

But I have seen many, many cue balls that were lighter due to wear. I used to play with a red circle cue ball that was a pink crescent.

For me it definitely wouldn't be noticeable!
