pool case cleaning

I am kind of interested to hear from someone who knows too!:embarrassed2:

If you use preflag chalk, use a magnet. It contains mercury and lead. (jk)

Otherwise, you can roll some tape with the sticky side out and attach it to a thin stick and dab it at the bottom of the case. Silly putty may work too.

I tried a garden hose, but no matter how hard I beat the case with it, nothing came out.

What kind of case? You can pull the whole inside out of some of them. Other option, don't ask me how this came about, but you buy a length of 1/4" copper tubing at any hardware /Lowes/etc and some crafty duck taping to a vacuum cleaner will reach right down in there.

cleaning your case

I take an old tie and put a shaft or butt inside it, tape the tie snug at the entering end, and either put some more tape on with the sticky side out, or SLIGHTLY dampen the tie. Slide the covered cue down and turn it, and you can get most of the chalk out. The best answer is to ALWAYS wipe chalk, sweat, etc. off your cue BEFORE putting it in the case. This is the first thing I tell folks when I sell them a cue or case, and one of the first things I teach students when giving lessons.

I used an old shaft, reshaped the tip as if I was going to use it, and kept putting that into the case. Each time I took it out the tip was covered in chalk so I cleaned it off, and started again. The tip seemed to soak the chalk up like a sponge. Took a while but it cleaned everything out.

The tie idea also sounds good if it's around the sides of the tube.
