I bought a "cowboy leather" cue case on line about 7-10 years ago. It was made by Instroke to hold 2 cue butts and 4 shafts (2 x 4) and seemed to be very well made. However, the bottom (wood piece) just fell out and the cues are dangling out. I could seek out a leather shop to try to repair it but instead I opted to order another leather case on line, this time a 2 x 4 case made by Tango. Are there any other high end leather cases that members can recommend? I don't need a custom case or a fancy case, although a custom pocket to hold my cue extender (generic) would be nice.

Look at the 'Mason' style cases on the JB website.
I'm cheap, take it to a shoe repair place. Prob get it fixed for 25bux.
These days I really only like cases that use JB interiors. They really are the best IMO.
Al King, who often posts cases in the sales forum, makes amazing leather cases. These are not inexpensive but they are top quality leather cases that use JB interiors for a best of all worlds to my mind. He built me a case (in my avatar) and it's absolutely amazing, can't recommend highly enough.
If you want a less expensive option and are willing to go with something other than leather the JB Ultimate Rugged cases are the best deal going for an affordable case that is awesome to play out of. I've had many of them over the years and currently have one of those as well with a towel ring and back pack straps. They have a great pocket setup, some accessories you can add (I find the phone sleeve super useful for things other than phone).
I've now had cases from Justis, Whitten, Instroke, JB, Fields, Murnak, 3 Seconds, and King. With the ones I've had Al King builds the best combo to me of style, quality and protection.
Only case I've ever wanted to try but haven't had the chance is a Rusty Melton, his stuff looks really nice as well.

I’m surprised no one mention yet that John Barton JB Cases, owned and started Instroke cases. He sold it a long time ago.
Call John up and tell him what happened. He’s liable to fix it for you for old times sake.
John got it right, I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone not say their JBcase was worth every penny spent.
possible but shipping would be brutal at today's rates. any good leather/boot/saddle place can fix it.
I have a 3 x 7 Instroke case for over 25 years now . I use it mostly for storage now but have never had any issues ,a few scuffs and some tarnish on the brass rivets . The biggest downside is the weight , fully loaded it is pretty heavy for an old guy with arthritis and a bad rotator cuff .
