Pool cue identification

I'm not real familiar on my cue brands and stuff to do with Them I just know how to use them and how they perform so hopefully you can help. . first cue is a viking I bought cheap at a garage sale and it has obviously had the shaft repaired at some point. Looks like it got broke and glued back together but it is straight but someone ground the furrele down to something similar to a snooker tip. Now I was looking how much would it be worth, like is it worth getting a new shaft for it or just get another furrele. As I could not find that model cue at all on there website and around what year it possibly is and if it has ivory or probably not as if it does the company won't do anything with it but send it back. I figured it is a cheap model as there is no metal guide on the shaft it just screws straight into wood but they possibly could have done that when they glued it back together right there The second cue is the one I use. I was just trying to figure out if it is worth anything really. When I first got it from my friend he told me it was his parents competition cue. He said it was an old viper but I can't find anything online that supports that. It is a light cue it is definitely lighter than my 18oz cue and has the inlays I'm not sure of what of but they definitely drilled all the way through and put them in. I really curious if it is worth anything and or about what year it could possibly be as I do like the cue even if it's a cheap import. Thanks for the help and sorry if I forgot to include something. The second cue is a cheapie.
The Viking joint is not cheap...some expensive cues use that joint.

So would the Viking be worth looking for another shaft or just put another furrele on it as it has been ground down a little small for my liking

Nobody can say what you will like but if it rolls straight it should be a solid playing cue. Flat faced big pin. You got a great find at a garage sale.

Another shaft is always a good idea...and have the original shaft re-ferrules.

X's 2 but I would check the original shaft for straightness and have a new ferrule put on, this would give him easiest and cheapest starting point. EDIT: That only works if the original shaft meets his criteria, otherwise, go get a new shaft and call it a day.

I could put another furrele on it myself but does anyone know where I can get another furrele. Like I'm hoping an eBay or Amazon link and about a 12mm. Or should I try to just grind the one that is on it down parallel as it is a very long furrele on it. And it is not a screw on I wish it was

The Viking is a good cue. Have a cue repair guy install new ferrule. The other is a Chinese pos. Use it for a tomato stake.

Its FERRULE. BTW, the Viking is a model A90. http://www.vikingcue.com/a-series/ Circa 1988. Looks like joint ring may be cracked also. Good cue guy can probably fix that or have Viking fix and re-finish. Cool old cue.

It ring looks like pliers marks possible. But that is right around where it's been glued together so it's possible. Thank you for actually knowing the model. Would you know about how much it would cost to have that done and put a different weight bolt in it

Refinishing a butt is usually around 100-125bux. Might send pics and just ask Viking themselves. You can get weight bolts at a hardware store or on-line.

Ok I think I will do the bolt myself as there is nothing wrong with the butt. What would a new shaft run me on this thing as money getting tight because I decided to refelt (cloth) and bumper my table

A plain maple shaft will run anywhere from 75-80 bux on up. Pin looks like a 3/8x10 and that is a very common one. Measure it to be sure.
