Pool designs and Logo designs

In the LOgo thread I thought several looked very good.
I dont know where to begin to make them or how.

I enjoyed looking at them and wish there were more options and ideas.

In this thread I was wondering if anyone had any pool related designs or images that they have created or would like to so some of us others
could take a look. It could be for a Tshirt design or just something
your fooling around with. I know I would be interested in seeing some ideas
and figure other might as well.

I ahve thoughts for some but really dont know how to make them. Maybe I will try and figure it out this week and post a few crude attempts.

Where can some of the pool clip art or pool related images be found on the net?

I probably have one of the most extensive pool-related photo, image and clipart collections around. I started about 15-20 years ago, when there wasn't much except a few in Corel Draw or Print Shop. Now with Google image search, it's pretty easy. Every once in awhile I will find a new one. Or try deviantart.com and do a search for billiards. Or webshots.com and search. There's a ton more, but that will get you started.

My collection is in about 30 directories and another 100 sub-directories. I have often thought about selling the CD, but most of the images are someone else's work and you can't make money off their use and I would have no control on anyone else using the images on T-shirts for sale either, so I haven't done it.

I think some of the posters here have done some creative work on their avatars.

Here's a more esoteric billiard picture:

Frank, I can't talk for other people who have contributed designs, but for myself what I achieved is not the result of being a Pool fan who wanted to have a go at graphic design, it's the result of being a graphic designer who happens to be a Pool fan.

So whilst you CAN just grab some clipart and have at it with a graphics program (FWIW I used Macromedia Fireworks) that's the equivalent of running out to buy a $1,000 custom cue and a Pro Cup "measles" cue ball and expecting to automatically start running racks. (Not that *anyone* here would ever consider doing that, oh no, never ;-)

Just like playing Pool, simply seeing the desired end result in your head does not mean you can achieve it without the skills to implement it and taking the time to develop those skills.

However there is always the option to post something (relatively) crude to demonstrate your ideas and other people can polish it up if they really like it enough. Either that or grab yourself some "how to" books on graphic design software and start learning how to create your dreams. I'd love to see other people's ideas, the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned, even if they are not perfect in all aspects. This is just for fun, so give why not give it a try?

If it helps you can get a free 30-day trial version of Fireworks here.

Not one appears to be a center ball hit.
Obviously you need to work out with the Tucker 3rd Eye Trainer.

LOL - great picture thanks...

Agreed you cannot commercially exploit such a collection of "Found" art. Perhaps Mike could host them here as an AZB image library as a resource for the board, as long as there is a copyright/not for commercial use disclaimer? How much space does your collection take up?
