Filipino and Taiwanese rule: maybe not quite ending but definitely loss of thunder and chinks in armor showing and now the emergence of UK as a powerhouse of talent and champions(Peach and Appleton) as well as Netherlands

4 recent world champions all back to back, and no filipino or taiwanese could take them down(or american for that matter)

WPBA: Allison Fisher & Karen Corr- a dynasty ending
New dynasties: K.Fisher,Ouschan, Pan, Kim, Cha, Ranola

Strickland gone(perhaps fr good?), Archer slightly fading...USA's strongest gun Shane Van BOening still looking bright

Please don't flame me for asking this, because I really don't know...

Based on what I've witnessed with Jasmine at the recent 2 or more world 14.1 events, do ANY of the "new dynasties" have anywhere near her offensive firepower or "game" in general? Meaning, does Kelly Fisher, Pan, Cha, etc, really "like it" with her?

I'm not asking to be smart-assed, I really don't know because I haven't watched them as I have Jasmine. Jasmine seems to have a certain offense I haven't seen in any other new up and coming female players.

What does everyone else think - I'm curious?

I like Iris Ranola's game a lot. She's got great shot-making capability, and has the cue ball under control. She's got a very powerful stroke that is very accurate. I watched her run out on a table with 4" pockets; she made them look like buckets!

Personally I am kinda dissapointed with the USA's firepower right now. I think we need to start something to get some of the younger players involved. Personally I think there are many unkown players out there who have the natural tallent to compete they just cant get off the ground. IDK but its just my views

I know Iris plays well, but is she in Jasmine's league? I might like Jasmine over some guy pros at 14.1 but I'm not sure if I like any of the other up-and-comers against any men at 14.1.

I do not think that Iris can withstand Jasmine`s fire power.Iris has to improve a little in her ability to kick and come out of the prison when the opponents( especially the English snooker players ) put her in the prison with monster defensive moves.

Wait, are we talking 9-ball or 14.1? I didn't assume 14.1 in your original reply.

I don't know how well Iris plays 14.1. Coming from the Philippines, I'd guess rotation games are her strong suit but that's just a guess.

Yu Ram Chas has twice played in the 14.1 WCs but has never done well. If I recall correctly, she doesn't have a very strong 14.1 background at all. As to the other women, I'd highly doubt they'd have much 14.1 background. Kelly Fisher might have an edge, coming from snooker. But that's about it.

Steve, I'm sorry. I mentioned 14.1 as an example but I think I was referring to "pool" in general... meaning, any game.

Since the wpba is 9-ball, are any of the other up-and-comers favored over Jasmine? I think that's a better way to ask the question.

You are correct. The first time she played 14.1, she did run a 100 though.

I have seen her in action a few times last year and thought she had a good offensive game.

Ga Young Kim seems to have a top notch game when she is shooting well. Unfortunately, she seems rather inconsistent.
