What are the pool movies that you've seen and what do you think of them. I know of The Hustler (My favorite), The color of money, The baltimore bullet (have not seen it yet)

Seen all three of those. The Hustler and Color of Money are the two best pool movies ever IMO.

Pool Hall Junkies should be out on video soon, I will rent it but I expect a pretty average flick at best.

Running Out is a movie I have read about on the net. I have never seen this but it really looks like it would be a great flick if one could find it.

Some goofy movie with Whoopi Goldberg in it about her as some pool player I think. I never saw it, it looked crappy.

Thats all the movies about pool I can think of.

The Player

Just out of curiosity, I would like to see if anyone but me spent money to go see the worst pool movie ever, "The Player", Circa early 70's Starring, get this, Minnesota Fats. This flick can't be on video though I haven't checked. There has to be someone brave enough to admit they went to see this "PIG".

I think I heard of that movie not sure though the name sounds familiar. Not old enough to have paid money to have gone and seen it though. Yeah I do remember hearing about it from Rossville Red. I think he shared that same opinion.

Kiss Shot is like a bad After School Special Movie! Whoopi starts hustlin to make some cash..............Another one of whoopis bad movie choices!!!

I have a copy of Chalk. In case you haven't heard of it, it's an indy movie filmed by a San Francisco studio. The story is good, the acting is gritty, and the pool scenes are well done.

I doubt you'd find this on video, but there was an episode of My Three Sons called "Charley the Pigeon" in which Uncle Charley breaks out his cue to get revenge after two girl pool sharks take $50 from Robbie.

Yeah one more a movie called Stickmen was just recently done its a foriegn film from New Zealand I believe havent seen it yet though

It is about time for someone to make a new Pool movie. Maybe Worm ( ED NORTON ) from Rounders takes up pool since he don't need to show his face in a poker room. Have him do the Pool sceen................Like they did the Poker sceen in Rounders. Show the good side and bad side of pool, with a Matt Damon cameo at the end. Like another chapter to Rounders...........Call it ROLLERS!
