Depends where in Scottsdale. If you close to Tempe, then Kolby's is right by ASU on University. There is Clicks, Skip & Jans, etc. down a little further.
If you are in the north more, you might have to head West to find some rooms. There is River City on Bell and 11th st., Metro, Bullshooters and Stingers all on Peoria on the West side of town (20 minute car ride).
Unfortunately Scottsdale doesn't really have much for Pool halls besides 1 or 2 valley barboxes at some bar.
Scottsdale is pretty big as you can see from the room map I listed, but it's also a very Rich City and apparently developer choose expensive stores, golf courses and resorts instead of your ever so popular (to the rich) pool halls.
I just put 12 new diamond 7' smart tables in on Saturday with Zach, along with the 7- 9 foot diamonds Zach recallibrated, making this room the best in Arizona, JMO. They have great food, and a $50/month players pass. The regulars at Kolbys are now playing at Skip& Jans.
If you close to Tempe, then Kolby's is right by ASU on University. The best thing to what a Pool Room was in the 1960's. IMHO not a Bar or sports Bar will Pool Tables as a SECOND THOUGHT. If the place SERVES HARD LIQUOR IMHO it is not a POOL ROOM, but a Bar with Pool Tables!!!!!
Another place that you might try, if you're on Indian School is Click's on 40th Street and Thomas (one mile south of Indian School). It has six nine footers (Brunswicks) and two bar boxes, along with a bunch of eight foot tables.
There is always a little cheap set action with the "regulars", and there are all kinds of leagues, if that's your thing.
Give it a whirl and I don't think you'll be sorry!
