it seems there's a bunch of sites out there where you can search for pool halls if you're going to a specific city? a lot of them have out of date information. i'm wondering which one you recommend if i'm about to travel and want a good place to play.

I found that asking people here, is stil the best way. Otherwise I use,

but like you said sometimes things are out of date.

Until a new better setup site comes along (it is). Check all of the sites, pick out a few locations and then check the online Yellow pages to see if they're still listed.

I tried the playpool site just for kicks and in my area there were 6 total halls listed. 2 have gone out of bussiness 1 is actually a store not a pool hall and 2 have moved. Better call before you travel.
