Pool Halls in Knoxville TN

Being kinda new to the area, I'm looking for a good place to spend a few hours a week in. So far, all I have found are bar boxes and Baileys. Neither are great but at least I can hit a ball or two. Is there any place that has the real pool hall atmosphere and perhaps some Gold Crowns or Diamonds?

Knoxville Billiard Club is at 3920 Chapman Highway. There was a pretty recent thread on pool halls in Knoxville, you might want to do a search.

All you have to do, is look in the phone book. In addition to KBC, there is a "billiard supply", not far from the KBC, and on the southside of Knoxville. They have a bunch of 9' tables...various brands and conditions...but they all play fairly well! The owner is a good guy!

The main places will be Bailey's which you found... KBC on Chapman Hwy. and Breaker's on Clinton Hwy...

Breakers has a mix of tables 7' diamond Bar Boxes are the only ones they have that play up to par imho...

KBC used to be the main action room but with the economy down the action is down and I don't know when they covered the tables last... KBC is still your ONLY shot if you are looking to play some onepocket for a friendly amount.... They also have the only diamond in town but it's pretty loose compared to most I have played on and doesn't force you into serious focus mode....

The supply place mentioned is actually McDonald's and they have the only snooker table in town now... Only issue is they do not keep any type of normal hours so it may or may not work for you...

Ohh almost forgot the only gold crowns here are at Barley's down town but there are just a cpl of em and are usually not in the best of shape...

I tend to stay at Bailey's since they have both the 8overs and 9footers and almost always have some with new simonis... Just bring your ipod on Wed since it's Karaoke... Ask at the desk for Renfro or Joe and one of us are likely to be there to play a set or steer you to what you are looking for...

peace out,

The Renfro...Thank you! It's been at least 8 years since I've been in McDonalds (the billiard supply:D), but I did remember it started with Mc! I remember talking for awhile with the owner, who had been there many, many years, and had some Eddie Taylor stories too!
