Thers's a Marriot next door if you're looking for a place to stay in the city.
If it was me i'd look for a hotel near the coast. Lot's on great restaruants in Providence.

Hotel....

Yeah,,,we got our eye on ''The hotel Providence'',,,,,right in the heart of down town,,,,,,do you know anything about it ??

Thanks again,,,,,Alan,.,,,,,

Capital Billiards ??

Anyone ever been to Capital Billiards in Rhode Island ???

Thnaks,,,,,,,,,,,Alan,,,,

snookers does not have carom or snooker tables.

I seem to remember calling them back when I was first compiling the list. I've yet to find any snooker tables in Rhode Island. Rhode Island Billiards (http://www.ribbb.com/) used to have a snooker table, and it was still mentioned on their website as of this past spring, but they had removed it by the time I called.

In case anyone does stumble across a snooker table in Rhode Island, please let me know.

I have been to Capital Billiards many times. It is the retail store attached to Rhode Island Billiards. This pool room has the richest history by far in the state. Just the pictures on the wall are worth the trip.

Looking at the condition of the equipment today, however, I can't say it is the best place to play serious pool. They don't clean the tables or balls with any regularity anymore. The bar is spotless though, with every beer you can think of. A nice place to visit.

PM if you want an address for the GPS and I will send the info

There is only one place in RI to find good billiard equipment. It is called "The Reserve" and is located in North Kingstown. It is a private room with 1 heated Verhoeven table. Rates are reasonable and play time is by appointment only if you are not a member. This is a gorgeous room with the best of everything and if you fancy some carom pool, it is only 30minutes South of Providence, about 2 miles off the main roadway.

They do on some Sundays. I think you'll have to call for when, I haven't seen them posted online yet
