Another place in the south suburbs is "South Hills Golden Cue: in Bridgeville (412-221-0280) Owned by retired pro Jimmy Marino, 17 Brunswicks and a billiard table. Not a big action spot but a nice place to play. 9- ball tourneys most Saturday nights around midnight. Friendly staff and clientele. Not much in the North suburbs except the "Fox & Hounds" sports bar on McKnight Road in the North Hills. Dave & Busters in Homestead has some nice tables, but it's more of a game room with a pool area. In the east is "Pinky's Billiard Parlor" 412-823-9670 in Turtle Creek. I've never been there, but I understand it's a cool, old-timey looking hall. That's all I can think of offhand. As you can probably tell, Golden Cue is my regular weekly stop. If you see a 6'3" 180 lb 50-something guy on a Tuesday or Wednesday night who can't make three fookin' balls in a row, say hello, as it's likely yours truly.
