I'm lookin at a weekend trip to L.A. next month. I'll play in the Sunday tourney at Hard times.

All weekends are open after the 4th.

Anything going on I should know about?

Summer in LA ...

No big tournaments that I know of in July. Everyone will be out surfing. Why don't you bring your board and we'll paddle out.

It is not a pool room, but rather a cue repair/maintenance shop with one table. Awesome place though :)

Well my mistake for reading the post too fast.

"One of AZB's finest opens a UNIQUE BILLIARDS BUSINESS in Pasadena............

teaching facility is now open for business!" -Corey Harper

Congratulations Corey.

Now you won't be able to spot the other pro players any hours on the table. "

Feel free to stop by my shop (Pasadena, CA) for a tough game of anything ;)

Are you only looking for weekend action? If not, here are tournaments I recommend during the week as well, closer to Orange County and Hard Times:

Monday: 8 Ball Tournament (Handicapped) at Danny K's Billiards
1096 N. Main St., Orange, CA 92867, (714) 771-9706

Tuesday: 9 Ball Tournament (Handicapped) at Hot Shots Billiards
6285 Ball Rd, Cypress, CA 90630, (714) 952-1120

Wednesday: 9 Ball Tournament (Handicapped) at Danny K's Billiards

Thursday: 9 Ball Tournament (Handicapped) at Hard Times Billiards
17450 Bellflower Boulevard, Bellflower, CA 90706-6604 (562) 867-7733

These are all great, competitive, well-run and successful tournaments. Usually they are $10-$15 entry. In traffic, takes about an hour to get to most of these places from DT. And you can always find action afterwards. Hope this helps.

Thank You!

Thanks for the info. I'll probably just be there for the weekend.

But I haven't bought tickets yet, so anything's possible.......

First weekend is out..........second weekend my friend is out of town.

Today I landed a consulting gig on the east coast that will fill the last 2 weekends of July.

Looks like I won't make it to L.A. til the 1st or 2nd weekend of August.
