??Pool in Neenah, Wisconsin??

Okay, I realize that I am crazy for agreeing to accompany my wife to visit relatives in northern Wisconsin for Christmas.....beautiful, sunny, balmy northern Wisconsin.

Are there any pool halls in Neenah, Wisconsin? Are there any AZB'ers in the neighborhood. I'm very hopeful I can get away for a few hours Tuesday and Wednesday for some pool. I'm bringing my stick; let's play.

Let's prove what a great pool resource AZB is by finding me a pool game......please, please, please....my only alternative will be to spend time with my wife's family (and civility prevents me from describing this hideous possibility).

I have played in a couple of Billiard Congress of Wisconsin tournaments at the Varsity Club in Oshkosh. 570 N Main St Oshkosh, WI 54901
(920) 651-0806‎ It's a real nice place. The owner posts on AZB. Nice Diamond tables.
I have heard that the Sharks club in Appleton is a nice place to play too. http://www.appletonsharksclub.com/
I would love to meet you Mr. Williebetmore, but I live near Sheboygan which is to far from Neenah.

There are 1 or 2 good rooms in Oshkosh and that is only 10 miles away. In Appleton you might find 1 good room, I can't recall the name of it. Look in the Tournaments section of this forum. I know they have had some tournaments at a couple places.

Don't waste your time going to Green Bay at all. They only have 1 room and it's full of kids and bangers.

You could PM LittleJohn on here, he is a very good player that knows the places to go, plus some others.

Good Luck, they are having the most snow in history right now. 14" yesterday, 6" more today, and even more this weekend.

Many, many thanks; that's exactly what I was looking for; both Oshkosh and Appleton are easy to get to according to my relatives (as long as it doesn't snow.........). I will definitely check out one or both of these places.

I'm a regular at the Varsity Club, usually wind up playing there 2-3 times a week, if not more. When are you going to be in the area? Just the Tues-Weds? I'm headed to the other side of the state tomorrow for xmas with family, but back to the Fox Valley on the morning of the 26th, so I'll be available that afternoon. If you care to meet up, just drop me a PM.

Varsity club is real easy to get to from Neenah, basically head south on hwy 41, take the 9th st exit and head east into town. About 10 minutes "average" travel later, turn north on main st and the Varsity club is up a few blocks, on the right hand side of the street. Usually good streetside parking, and a lot at the back of the building.

As far as the other pool rooms in the area, Oshkosh also has Magnet Billiards. Not a bad place, but I much prefer the diamond tables at Varsity. Appleton has Sharks Club, downtown. I've only played there twice, so I can't really say too much; it's a little far from me for casual play.
