Pool in Vegas?

When Vagabond rolls into north town or the west side wearing those "wild a$$ limousines for the feet" and carrying his famous "Pimp Daddy" cue case, things tend to get intense real quick! That's just how he rolls!!!!!!!;) (this is the part where the theme from Shaft is playing in the background :D

As for places to play in Vegas, Pool Sharks has 2 Diamond tables. One in the pit and the other, I believe, is table #1 when you first walk in the door. Mickeys has added some Diamonds lately as well. The action at the Cue Club is rare since Toby's departure.

i need some 50-200 9B action at Mickeys until the Derby. I dont want to get robbed or steal I need tough games, sing up and and play me, we can bet higher it dsen matter I just want to start small.

I've been travelling to Vegas for twenty years in January for the CES. Yes, the porno show runs the same days at the Venetian and Sands Convention Center. Worth a trip if just for laughs. Don't let the other posters scare you off of the two main pool rooms in Vegas. While I'm there, I visit both Pool Sharks and the Cue Club. Personally never had any trouble either place.

Pool Sharks on Decator south of Spring Mountain Road has two full size Diamond Smart and one small Diamond Smart. The tables are not as well maintained as the Cue Club. The rest are "off brand" both large and small. If you want some action, stop at the front counter and ask for "Thumbs" most evenings. He'll find you a game. Some evenings Paul Brienza hangs.

The Las Vegas Cue Club is the oldest. Located off East Sahara in the Commercial Plaza. The plaza has been known to have problems from time to time. None at the Cue Club that I remember. They have twelve of the most BEAUTIFUL Gold Crowns. Small, small pockets, level chassis, relatively clean balls and unfortunately, rarely any action. Tuesday evenings they have handicapped nine ball. Anyone that may give you some action will be there.

Crystal Palace Billiards is located at Bonanza and Eastern. If you love three cushion, thats the place in Vegas. It is also a "gang" haven. Most players avoid it. Go there daytime with friends.

The rest of the rooms in Vegas feature bar boxes. Mickey's, Cheers, Dealers Choice and Rum Runner Tropicana have one or more small Diamond Smart Tables. Friday nights at Dealers Choice is always a good 9 Ball tournament. The bars I mention hold the LV Diamond Tour. Stop by any of those bars for a schedule.

Any highers stakes games are almost magical if they happen. All the better players have given up and play poker instead. Teddy Garrahan was around or nearly a year. Walter Glass is still around town. Chinese Chad is playing poker. Regardless, have fun. See you at the Cue Club on Tuesdays.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to make the Tuesday night 9-Ball tourney at the Cue Club. I've been there before.

Last time I was there, Billy Incardona was matched up with somebody. Seems like they were playing one-hole?
 
I played in the tourney last night as a 10. I got within 2 matches of the money. I beat everybody I played even, but lost to a couple Filipinos I had to spot balls.

I'll be back tomorrow (Thursday) for another tourney at the Cue Club. I'll be the guy with the ivory & cocobolo Southwest.
