Hello

I will be heading to Ho Chin Minh City Vietnam the following week. I was wondering if anyone here is familiar with the city and can give me some directions to a nice decent pool hall there.

I know that pool is fast becoming a popular sport in vietnam. I want to go check out the scene.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

A friend of mine was just there for over a month. He posts here, but I forgot what his id is.

Pool is getting very popular there. You can ask around, and someone should be able to show you.

A little over a year ago, I was there. Played some pool at a nice pool hall, but I don't remember where it was.

Cool thanks.

My sister was there last month. She took some pictures of some "pool hall" it looks weird. The tables are out in the open and people playing were not wearing anything from waist up!

I was afraid if i as around i would just end up at one of those places. I seen some of the Vietnamese national players play and they are good. Just wondering where they hideout.

MasterClass I Know Dieckman went back in 2005, but cancel plan for another visit in 2008. Check out Dieckman other website:

Thank you so very much for providing the links to Dieckman's website. The pictures and information he provided on his website were very interesting and even funny. I met Dieckman for a few brief minutes at one of the DCC's and he allowed me to take his place on the waiting list so I could play some 3C with Wei Chao. His web site, photos and text are a confirmation of my first impression of him and that is, that he is a unique and remarkable individual.

MUCH APPRECIATION.

Hello friend,

You can contact me when you are in Ho Chi Minh City. I am happy to show you some nice pool halls here, which in my opinion are a lot better than most of the pool halls I've ever been in the States.
Please pm me for more information.

Cheers,

I go to Asia regularly. I always stop by Saigon for a few days to visit family. The next time I go there, perhaps we can hit some balls.

:) I was born and raised there. Yet, it still scared the heck out of me with those motorcycles. Now is much better because of the dividers. But it is still very scary.

A few years back, there were no dividers. I guarantee you that the best bikers in the world would not be able to drive a bike in Saigon back then without practice. Anyone who had been there know what I am talking about. I got several burns on the legs because of those hot mufflers from other bikes. :)
