Pool Injuries Redux

Did a thread on this once and most of us talked about back problems, or maybe foot problems.

But then last night, I found myself in my basement game room with the lights out. Thought I knew my way around that room after three years, but no.... WHAM! Smacked straight into the rail, resulting in a deep thigh bruise.

Haven't had one of those since high-school football, and that one took a week to heal, as I remember. Now I'm a creaky old codger and probably won't heal for a month.

Hurts like crazy, but I keep playing on, hobbling around the table. It is, as many of us said, an addiction.

I am just tall enough that when I reach for a shot, my family jewels are rail height. Last night I was playing and slipped and damn near tore of the jewels!!!!

I'm guessing that the worst pool-related injury occurred as the result of lead poisoning -- from bullets. I've seen arguments over pool games that have driven me out the outhouse door.

Was at a bar 2 days ago playing a couple games. Got a sore thigh and bruise from leaning into the table with my weight for shots that were way across the table.

You need a night light :groucho:

I've experienced some pains after playing for too long in my bridging hand. Other than that I'd be careful of sharp things sticking out of the side of the table, nails, metals, whatever. Once my pants got caught by the metal cap by the pocket, and ripped. For some reason there was a sharp edge sticking out.

Don't know the man personally, but Bucktooth has a reputation for firing pool balls around the room, or at least threatening such.

I'd wager that could be lethal.
