Pool Inventions of the Future

I see them incorporating an extension into the butt of the cue either at the joint or butt cap. Give it a twist to unlock it, slide it out to desired length and twist to lock it

I was in a pool hall decades ago where they had a rack boy. When you needed the balls racked you tapped your cue, mostly house cues back then, on the floor and the rack boy ran over and racked them. I didn’t like it, had to wait sometimes but if you tried to rack your own they were offended
That's how you paid -- by the rack -- when that was the way

I prefer gear whore, thank you.
If something actually improves your play that's one thing. Problem is so much of what is tossed out at the pool playing public is nothing but tech for tech's sake. Ever sat and wondered, for ONE second, how all the champions got good WITHOUT ANY of this shit? A top player will always be able to take a pos house cue and run racks with it. Its always the sub-sub-sub shortstops who are are addicted to this stuff.

A double hit cue ball that indicates a double hit by turning red for a second (nataddrho?).

How many times have you seen someone line up a shot where the CB and OB are close together, and you say to yourself, there is no way NOT to double hit the shot as it's being played? Then the person hits the shot, and the CB races alongside the OB to the other end of the table, or the CB travels forward of the OB, then spins back. You look at them trying to illicit a foul call, and they look back at you like a deer.
