I dress to match my age

As far as tattoos having meaning, why should they? Does all art have to have meaning? Can’t they just be a form of art and nothing more?

WTF does $ have to do with tattoos? Thats the dumbest shit I have heard in a long time, no offense but seriously? What does that mean. I say stupid things all the time and when I do I hope there’s someone there to correct me so I can learn-so don’t get insulted.

Fatboy<———🙄
I agree with Fatboy on the tattoo topic.

Sure you might want your first few to have a deep meaning, but trust me, the more you get the less picky you end up being.

I'm actually in the "jersey" camp... I'm all for having players look like "players" and not someone who tossed on the best smelling pile found on their floor before hunting for change to pay the bus driver. That said, I do prefer the more reserved options rather than noisy crap some vendors push to the masses.

I bought a couple of "jerseys" before the Open last year. I wanted to at least somewhat look like a belonged before someone saw me strike a ball...lol

I do wear them otherwise, if I'm going out of town to play in something. I have a couple of people that make a habit of making my pool expenses more manageable. In return I footed the bill to advertise them on my jerseys. Makes me feel special...lol
These aren’t the jersey’s we are talking about.. these aren’t over the top lol. I would wear them out on a golf course .

After about the 20th tattoo you don’t even care…..it’s just art. Looks cool. It’s fun to watch the collection grow.

Only the rookies are sweating
Couldnt agree more. I get out of the chair and make my next appointment as soon as the previous one is done. I have about 5 months to come up with something lol.

Are tattoos not expensive, especially for younger folk?

Believe it or not, they used to have meaning. They meant you were a WWII vet, a biker, an ex-con, a Pacific Islander, or a circus performer.

You are right, they are meaningless now. So what is the point to covering yourself in them? I just don't get it and probably never will.

Not really, nobody thinks about the price of a tattoo. It’s like thinking about the price of plastic surgery. Nobody’s looking for a discount doctor.

I have a friend I’ve known 30 years. Has a table in his shop. I’ve spent many many nights there playing pool, not getting tattooed. I’ve seen people from all walks of life getting ink. Some get scared and leave, some puke half way through it, others fall asleep (that would be me). Point being is I’ve seen a lot. $ isn’t ever a factor

I think I am right, because this is just a recent fad if you will, when one person gets one, then another, and it feeds upon itself.
thats an incredibly ignorant statement
as laughable as anything brookland said in this thread

you think tattoos are just a recent fad? lol

all of my tattoo’s have meaning whether they are pool on one arm. My grandparents names who raised me and saved my life or my wife. If yours don’t that’s cool to. I don’t worry about people judging me. I don’t have a job where I wear a suit And tattoo’s are so normal now no one thinks about it really plus if you aren’t paying my bills you and your uptight close minded judgmental opinion can go f$%$ itself 😂

I think your to old to get some people just like to express themselves and it’s not the taboo thing it was in the 1940s when you were a teenager 😂

Nice tattoo. Very nice

Oddly enough I never (as of now anyways) have had a pool theme tattoo, not sure why. Maybe someday I will. 😃

In the USA, absolutely. They have always been around, but not like today.
and you would be an expert on that matter of how popular they are? not having any yourself?

youve kept records over the decades of how many people youve seen with tattoos then i would assume
and international stats as well it seems

Evidently you don't have the gift of insight, so you wouldn't be able to see the obvious things that everybody else can see. Anybody with half a mind can see the tattoos are more prevalent today than they were 50 years ago. Keep on arguing the point, you just can't take being wrong. Can't wait to hear you respond to this in hopes that you can try to make yourself be right.
oh ok so since there are more people tattoos are more prevalent got yout
keep trying to convince people about something you dont know anything about,
like the apa 4 i heard monday knocking how a local 750 warms up his stroke, this is good stuff

lol, your example really proves your point, lol! Keep going buddy, you won't stop until you think you are right. The reason you continue with this useless conversation is because you know you are wrong.
it certainly does
the only thing you have left is to just keep saying wrong
