One more negative depiction of pool as essentially a lowlife endeavor. Not likely I would see a parent watching this episode saying yeah that's what I want my son hanging out doing.

This is an honest to God true story. I remember sitting in my accountant's office when I had just bought a pool room and him saying aren't you afraid of all of the crime and fights and killings and stuff that go on in a place like that.

This was an educated man and that was pretty much all he knew about what went on in the pool room. I wonder where that image comes from? I guess one too many episodes of the Beretta TV show.

It was actually not too crazy for an accountant to ask those questions. A Lawyer with some insurance back ground would probably try to talk you out of it entirely. This is especially true now with DWI laws putting alcohol serving businesses on notice they can be gone after for the results of serving and over serving drunk patrons to(The Law in Texas for example). NO WAY I would open one and become responsible for all the bullshit that happens around those places.

I Florida they have a special policy you buy for that. Inexplicably just the other night my wife said, do want another pool room.

The virus is a big factor but regardless I can't see what would make me want one again. It can be a pretty terrible business. Just liking to play pool is not a good reason to have a pool room.

Agree. If you want to play pool any time a home table is an option or even renting a small space you put a table and some comfort items in just for that.

There are many that do well but there are a lot of issues too. Not for me.
