pool players opion of cd

I'm sorry to say I haven't, but let me say this about that. Hypnotism will not help you to play better pool. Niether will meditation, Zen Buddhism, Taro reading, or becoming a Methodist.
The only way to become a good pool player is to live in a poolhall. The only way to become a really good pool player is to start gambling. There just isn't any other way.

really????

I'd be willing to try a test of psychology that has been tried several times in the past.

You can take anyone you want and have them practice pool night and day...

Me, I can only tell someone what to do and have them visualize playing pool with the given knowledge for two hours a day...They can never touch a pool table in that entire time..

And then we can see who plays better at the end of six months.....

Jaden

p.s. as I've said this has been done in studies in many sports many times and the results might surprise you....

The pool of candidates would have to be from an even starting point, no saying "I got dibs on John Scmidt as my research subject"....

On the one hand.....I agree completely with Tramp.....Nothing takes the place of practice. However I can see certain benefits that might arise....say for instance the player who gets so nervous about competing....their game suffers.....perhaps a post hypnotic suggestion such as......when your cue makes contact with the first ball.....an overwhelming sense of calm and peace will fill your mind.......certainly might be worth a shot......but I doubt it would be possible with a CD and self induced hypnosis.....for some maybe.....but for most it would take repeated trips to the hypnotherapist to deeply implant the suggestion.....

has anyone out there tryed ryan elliott tape on hypnosisfor playing pool

To answer your question on the Ryan Elliot tapes I've had mine for 20 + years I think and don't know if they've been refined since then or not. I felt that some were quite useful to help with your overall mindset and for positive pool related self affirmation. I haven't listened to them in years but would be comfortable pulling them out again and relaxing to some of my favorite ones. I remember he has a nice easy to listen to delivery. Can it help your game? Sure it can, in small increments just like an aiming system, a break stick, a new tip, whatever. Probably won't put you over the edge but if you're having trouble with the mental aspects of the game and you have the time I'd say give them a go.
