I haven't been around since 2005. I put my business plan for a pool room on a shelf then and focused on another business. It's good to see a forum focused on the business of operating a pool room here now.
It's good to see the owner's forum. It's very depressing to read it.
It seems like most of the pool room owners posting about their business are hurt, injured, dying or dead and buried. Maybe a slight exaggeration.
Is there no successful business model for a pool room now?
What are the billiards equipment manufacturers doing to promote their businesses?
Is retailing tables a significant additional profit catagory for a pool room?
Have there been any attempts at a pool room "club membership" (like a fitness club membership) for a recurring charge monthly, offering members "x" number of hours per day in table time? Additional players on a table would have to pay for their table time if they did not also have a membership.
Does anyone know of any Delaware state laws regarding pool room operations, with or without a liquor license?
