A lot of Cue Makers start out doing tips and get the addiction. This unit was my first fix as a cue junkie, LOL. Now I am the drug dealer, want to try? I made over $ 140,000.00 with this machine and it runs perfectly because Brian at Unique products designed a bullet proof unit. Other that cleaning I have only replaced the drive belt 2 times. 8.00 each.
One large weekend event and the cost would be covered. When you roll this out in front of players they are drawn to it just to watch. Many people will see this set up and have a new tip and shaft recondition because they have extra money in their pocket to burn and they just watched the tip being installed and felt the shaft feel like glass.
Here is my Mobile Cue Repair Kiosk that features a Unique Cue Companion Repair Lathe with the reversing switch DC Motor. This set up does, tips, tenons, ferrules, wraps and shaft reconditioning and the top RPM is very high. I believe about 2500 RPM to 3000. Works perfect.
This is a perfect set up for a pool hall as customers see it and want to have the cues worked on. My repair business at the pool hall when up a huge amount when I built this unit. Before I had the lathe in a back room, and it was an out of site out of mind type of thing.
I built this set up to be portable and it fits in a station wagon, pick up bed, or back of a mini van and can be moved and loaded easily by one person. It is on caster wheels and features the following items and accessories.
Mounted Power strip for ac items.
Mounted Swiveling Overhead Light and Florissant Mounted Fixture Light.
Plexiglass Front Window so customers can watch repairs safely without eye protection.
Medium size shop vacuum with discharge filter.
Hinged side plate for mounting vacuum system to remove dust and cuttings from business end of tool area.
10 Mounted storage trays for sandpapers and consumables
1 large storage drawer.
Large under cabinet 2 access door compartment.
1 Tipalator
Extra belt.
10 maintenance Pins and
Drill Chuck.
Small box of tool accessories.
This set up is perfect for a pool hall or doing tournaments.
Does not include tips our other stock items for repair.
I have this unit in my Cue Shop now and it does not get used much anymore since I no longer am in the pool hall business.
