Well guys, I finally found a suitable place that I believe is good value in a favorable location. Still some hurdles to get over of course but it’s starting to feel less like a dream and more like an eventuality.

Very good suggestion. Yeah I’ve actually done a lot of this very thing since my partner and I discussed it the first time. I’ve spoken to a few managers(haven’t had much luck being there when owners have been around) and asked ?s.

Profitable pool rooms, the few that may actually exist, make their $ largely on food and/or alcohol sales. There lies the dilemma - keeping your tables, cloth, etc in top condition if you allow customers to eat and drink while playing.

Most pool rooms are labors of love of an owner who has a lifetime passion for the game and is willing to scrape by, like myself.
