how far apart should my pool tables be? Looking for minimum distance.

5 ft is the minimum. Anything less and your really jammed up. 6 ft will give you enough space for one player to pass by another while shooting from the rail. 60 inches between the outside edges of the tables will give you about 72 inches between playing surfaces, give or take, based on you tables rail width.
