I have used the demos of almost all the programs out there.
Its a shame that the one I use went out of business years ago, it was the best I think.
it is called Choice and is an old (1989) dos program.
It comes down to what all do you need to keep track off ?

Its been a long time and for the life of me I cant remember where, I know they were working on a Windows version and then they were gone. Sorry, its hell to get old, when the memory goes forget it. LOL

The #1 selling system is PoolHouse Manager (PHM). Many threads here. It is by far the best.
Choice pool room manager
I have used CHOICE Since 1991 tested others but went back to CHOICE it is by far my best choice for room software, We run two rooms with over 40 tables & it is fast for food beverage and inventory controll, but what a shame the closed.

Anyone got anything new to say about software? I am looking also. Table time, drink and food sales with cash drawer is some of the things I am looking to keep track of.
Im also looking guys keep it going there must be something else out there.
I have a system from 04 or 05 i would like to sell
It has 2 cash drawers, program($1,000.00 just for this) for pool and to keep all inventory and alot of others like a computer tower, will turn on and off all pool tables and has the old style toiuch screen monitor! I bought for over $2500.00 when it was less then a year old from a poolroom that didnt make it 1 year, and i never got open so it has been sitting for 3 years...........if interested please call at 330-431-2502 thanks rio/

I wanted to pile on to the answer PHM. This guy is incredible. The software does time and inventory. It also does the standard POS routines. But it goes well beyond those functions. It does cue rentals, waiting list, and even more. It is networkable for multiple stations and runs very solid. It has a built in Credit Card Function. The very best part is over the years (7) when I saw the need for a new feature I would email or call the developer (Mike) Within a couple of weeks my request would be included with a software refresh. Thats the kind of support that you can't get anywhere. BUY THIS SOFTWARE.

We have 7 stations, four cash drawers, 58 tables, and a pretty extensive restaurant and bar menu.
We have pool rates that change by time of day,
some tables on per person per hour, others on flat rate per hour,
members that get 10% discount on table time,
"free hour" for a league-player table run
We have a full pro shop

It took us a while to work out the kinks, but we're running pretty smoothly now. (opened this past August)
PHM is an impressive piece of software.
As others have said, Mike H. is very good and very responsive.
