Not a Private Club, or Community Room. Pool Room to you that is a commercial venture, ans operates hoping to make a profit.

Too me it is like the Jointed Cue, in Sacramento, the Old Bakers on Hollywood Way in Burbank, and last North Hollywood Billiards, in North Hollywood. Palace Billiard in Missoula, MT was another one.

First three were or are in California. Some served food, & beer, but no HARD STUFF.

All sold Cues, Cases, and Accessories, did Re-tipping. But the business, was about, and build on the game of Pool.

Was not primary a Bar, or Sports Bar with too many Television playing sports, or Dart Boards with Hard Liquor sale that attracted non Pool Players.

Think few places like this survive in 2013.

Ah yes, The Jointed Cue ... What IT means to me:

Old School Atmosphere, Friendly Players, Owner & Staff who give 110% to their Customers.
And ... yes, a place to whoop-ass or get ass-whooped (on the Tables, of course).

BTW - New Owner, Mike, is stepping up the Tournament Schedule with regular 3-Cushion
Tournaments and, yesterday, held the first 8-Ball Express Tourney which was a huge
success. Sundays are 8-Ball Line Tourney with 8 games guaranteed.

If you are new to "The Cue" or haven't been there for a while, come on down for a great day
of Pool and Outstanding Food.

Thank You for mentioning those "weekly" tourneys. We are
"working" on Mike to add an occasional "One-Pocket" & "14-1" Tourney.
His Father, Don, is a diehard Straight Pool guy.
 
The cost of Rent, Insurances, Utilities, Licenses, Permits, etc., and all the other money going out, makes it a tough nut, to operate a Pool Room in 2013 with a bottom line worth all the effort.

Recall a guy who had a million bucks to invest, he was looking at THREE Church Chicken Franchises. After crunching the numbers, aggravation factor, he invested in a Bond Portfolio.

The return was almost guaranteed on the bonds, also it was with out all the aggravation of having to deal with the build of the franchises, cities, problems of employees, he knew from another venture.

He choose the bond with a lessor return, and no headaches. Over the potential of making another killing in fast food.

Our only real poolroom in Warner Robins, GA. is Called B&W Recreation Center.
It has 16 -- 9' Brunswick's, 2 -- Snooker tables & a bar; no hard alcohol.
Basically a simple poolroom with plenty of parking.

I go there often to practice, play, see friends & players.
The owner is Travis Bush (loves to play snooker) & our house pro is Billy Miles.
B&W has been in business for 50yrs. in WR. Mon - Sat.
If you are in our neck of the woods come on down to Peacock Dr. & see us.
