I'm going to be traveling to Cleveland in a few weeks and would like to know of some clean pool rooms to play in. By clean I mean I don't want to be in a ghetto. I'd prefer a nice room non smoking, Diamond tables, food and beer. Oh yes..must have beer.

Only 2 places that I know of that have diamond tables. One is continuous
play in parma on ridge road I believe. Its a private club, so smoking is
allowed and you have to pay the $ 5 annual fee. Bring your own drinks, so
no bar. The other is BJ's Diamond mine on Lorain Blvd. Has an full bar
with 9 footers and 7 footers. All diamonds. Neither is in the Ghetto, nor are
they in Beverly hills. Now, both places are on the west side of cleveland. If
your going to be on the east side, I dont know of any places that have the
Diamond tables, but the Wickliffe lanes bowling alley has some very old
Brunswicks that were just refelted with new cushions. I havent played on
them yet, but hear that they play very nice. Tight pockets too. The alley is
off of Euclid Ave. in Wickliffe. Hope this helps.

Very much so
Billiards in Cleveland is a sad sad state right now. I remember ppl calling me at 11am in Rack n Roll in Mentor to reserve a table for 9pm and they wouldn't get it till 11pm. I could walk into another one in the middle of nowhere in Chardon and it would be packed to the gills. Then there were plenty in Cleveland as well that were packed full as well.

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I resent tha...............Ohhhh, well I guess you have a point.

While I was at Frank's place Tulio come up wanting a money game. I told him that I didn't play for money. He come in a few minutes later with his head sideways saying "I remember jooooooo.....oooooooh yea I ****ing remember you." I couldn't help but laugh. After that we talked about the not so distant good days and the things I would do and the things he used to do.

*edit*
Too bad we couldn't meet up while I was up there. I still got your number so next time I head back up there I'll give ya a call.

Yeah, I work about 5 minutes from Franks. I wish we coulda met up and
played. Yeah, Tulio is still kickin it. Still grinding it out here and there.
He still gives me the 7, and I'll give him a bit of action. If you do get back
into town, we'll definitely meet up. They really fixed it up really nicely at
Wickliffe lanes. Those old Brunswicks are really nice, tight, and true. I've
still to play there, but more than a few guys have told me. The tables used
to be slow, and the pockets were very different on every table. Some wide,
some tight as hell. This was on each table, LOL. The rails were dead too.
Butch did'em all up. If you dont know him, he's the guy that works for Mike
Gulyassy at every SBE. If you want, we can still do Franks too. I
dont mind. I like it there. As plain as it is. He charges didly for table time.
Take care bud, hope all is well with you.

Oh, how true. Unbelievable. I'd play in those Rack-n-Roll tourneys during
the week, and there would be plenty of players on a tuesday or wednesday
night. Strong Players too. Tulio, Chevrolet Frank and his son Mario. Plenty
of others too. No matter where you went, always packed. I miss those
days. Even though I have two little ones now, It would still be nice to go to
a packed hall when I do get the chance to hit'em around.:(
