I am familiar with Brickyard Billiards, but wondering if there is anything else close to Greenwood.

I have taken a new position and will probably be living in the Greenwood area.

PM or whatever.

Thanks my AZ brothers!

I met a guy a few months ago who travels the state for business and was hanging out up here. After league we play funsies on the open tables and he joined us. Heck of a nice guy.

As I read your post the phrase "John Wayne " popped into my head. A little memory jogging and Google.... Yup. John Wayne eatery and pub in greenwood.

that's his home room. He said there's leagues and also a weekly tourney that brings a bunch of strong players (I guess state level or beyond?). The details are foggy but i had the impression that it was vibrant and had plenty of players in the middle and upper tiers.

I just moved away from Greenwood a year ago...

app4dstn is spot on with the suggestion of John Waynes. 20+ diamond bar tables and 2 diamond 9 footers.

Monday nights is the local house league, with APA and I think NAPA leagues as well during the rest of the week.

Some of the bigger players are found on the 9 footers throughout the week.

The pool there can be above average as is the food. The people there are as friendly as they come in that area.

Thanks guys, I drove over John Wayne's tonight for a little while. It looked ok, a TON of bar tables and just a few big ones.

All those Diamond tables and me with a Gold Crown.....LOL

I had left my cues at home, but I am here in a hotel...ugh.

Live and learn.

Lot of bar tables in this state, most pool rooms will have a couple of 9ft tables and the rest will be 7ft.

Ken, you will have to get yourself transferred to Louisville area so you can start playing at Bank Shot Billiards. They only have 9 footers and you can find any level of competition you want from bangers to short stops.

Good luck on your move!
